From the chartering desk to engineering
Our founder, Dimitris Kontaxis, studied business and maritime economics and spent years in commodity shipping: fixing freight, running fleet operations across time zones, making commercial calls where being wrong cost real money.
In 2022 Dimitris left the corporate world, learned to build software, and built a complete AI platform from scratch that runs in production every day.
edge247 brings the two together. We deploy private Full-Time Agents for shipowners, operators and chartering desks, and stay on watch after they go live. Every deployment is designed and tested by people who know what a laycan, a recap and a noon report are for.
Shipping is the only industry we build for. What we learn on one desk, fully anonymized, makes the next deployment better.
